Service Description

Yin yoga is a passive style of yoga that is meant to help promote balance within your body. This is a slow practice suitable for beginners where we hold a posture for a few minutes. We use sound instruments to compliment the experience. Yin Yoga incorporates principles of traditional Chinese medicine. The postures (asanas) aim to increase circulation and flexibility by stimulating the channels and meridians of the subtle body. With yin, we practice slow. You will be guided to hold each position for an adequate amount of time, but only for what feels right for your body. If anything feels uncomfortable, adjust your depth or angle of the pose, or gently move out of the position entirely. With all of the ways we lead active (Yang) lifestyles of working hard and living fast, incorporating yin yoga can help bring your body and mind back to balance.
