Gentle kundalini yoga class with deep guided relaxation and no sound instruments.


Service Description

Gentle and Balanced is a gentle, grounding kundalini yoga practice and is adaptable to a chair. Students will be guided in a into practice with sets that will help improve sensory awareness and connection with the body. Specific systems in the body will be targeted to help in the release of stored trauma, release of old patterns and fear, as well as improve vitality and reduce stress. These classes will have some music and mantras, but will NOT include sound instruments. There will be a period of guided deep relaxation that will help magnify the benefits of the practice. This is a gentle and therapeutically taught class from the Kundalini Yoga lineage, where each class includes a combination of breath control (pranayam), movement (Asana), meditation with silent or chanted mantra, and relaxation. The sets we practice in this offering are part of the Trauma Informed Kundalini Yoga program. Bring your own mat and blanket or use one of ours. Wear comfortable clothing that you are able to move around in. This class is a free or sliding scale by donation with a recommended investment between $5-15. Payment is not required, but contributing just a small amount will help us keep the lights on!
